APPETIZER - AVOCADOS WITH A WALNUT-VINAIGRETTE 50 g chopped walnuts 1/2 bunch of chives 1 orange 2 tbs lemon juice salt, pepper, sugar 2 tbs walnutoil 2 ripe avocados Chop a third of the walnuts, chop the chives. Peel the avocado and slice it. Squeeze half of the orange and mix with the lemon juice, sugar, salt, pepper and the walnut oil. Pour over the avocados and sprinkle chopped walnuts and chives on top. Decorate with whole walnuts and orange slices. MAIN COURSE - SPAGHETTI A LA CHARLOTTENBURG Ingredients for 4 servings: 500g ground beef 500g canned tomatoes 1 small can of tomato sauce 3-4 cloves of fresh garlic 1 large onion 2 carrots 4 bay leaves thyme oregano estragon olive oil sweet paprika 1 bottle of dry red wine 500g Spaghetti Chop the onions as well as the garlic. Cut the carrots in very thin slices. Sautee the onions in olive oil. Add the ground beef and let it simmer for a while. Add the carrotslices and keep on simmering. Stir in the peeled tomatoes, tomatopaste, oregano, thyme, estragon, bay leaves and sweet paprika. Season with salt and pepper and finally add the garlic. Spaghetti go nicely with this sauce. DESSERT - BANANAS IN RED WINE Ingredients for 4 servings: 4 bananas 2 cups of red wine half a cup of walnuts 1 cup of sugar 1 piece of ginger (1 inch thick) 2 cloves 1 stick of cinnamon Peel and slice the ginger. Chop the bananas and the walnuts. Heat the red wine, then add the sugar, the gingerslices, cloves and the cinnamon stick. Please do not boil! Only heat it! Sieve it and let it cool down, then put it in the fridge for an hour. Sprinkle it with the chopped walnuts before serving.
