PMD Films was founded on April 20th 1997 in New York as a successor of Laterna Entertainment  by Philipp Müller-Dorn and Eir Lindström-Holmy. Laterna Entertainment has introduced itself to the US independent film market in the early and midnineties.

 

PMD Films' first production was the short 'Firedance' which was shown on the 'Aphabet City Underground Festival' im November 1993.

After the 20-Minute Shortfilm 'Kissing the Muse' in the year 1995 'PMD Films' began preparation for its first feature film: the comedic thriller 'Between Your Legs'.

 

'Between Your Legs' was shown on the 1999 'Saguaro Film Festival 'in Arizona and was shown in Arthouse Movie-Theatres in New York and Berlin.

 

2000 PMD Films relocated from New York to Berlin.

 

In 2002 PMD Films completed the "Brotzeit mit Malte Muller"  Comedy Series.

 

In 2004 began the preparation to 'Fools Paradise. The 'Fools Paradise' Teaser Clip was shot in 2005.
